Since 1998, Life Bridge has held 10 week sessions of Life Skills and GED/pre-GED classes in the Austin area throughout the year. We focus resources and meet practical needs of individuals and families through:
GED / Adult Basic Education Tutoring
Work Readiness Skills Training including computers
Life Skills Training
English as A Second Language (ESL)
ESL is available at all three locations. The other programs are only available at Twin Lake Fellowship Church in Cedar Par, TX.
The purpose of Life Bridge Job Corps is to provide a Christian context in which families in need are equipped for life and employment and a missions context in which Christians serve their community.
Work Readiness Training is provided in a classroom setting during two to three sessions a year in English and Spanish.
English as a Second Language and conversational English are taught at all three of our locations.
GED and Pre-GED program
At Life Bridge’s GED and pre-GED Programs, we meet our students “where they are” and encourage them to reach beyond that. Through classroom instruction, individual attention, and peer contribution, our students emerge as confident, empowered individuals. Our class sessions meet multiple times a year for 10-12 weeks each; we believe that it’s never too late to jump in and start learning.
The Christian Compassion Center, Inc. (C3) collects merchandise from national retail outlets, businesses, and individuals for distribution to citizens in need, free of charge. Through our ever growing number of volunteers and partners, we have been able to assist families in their immediate tangible goods needs and at the same time, empower our partners to assist in core needs assessment and long term holistic solutions.
1 John 3:17: “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
What we do:
Since inception in July 2010, C3 has donated over $3,100,000 of materials to Austin’s disadvantaged community.
The materials are available and the needs are great. Our hope is that through these acts of giving and kindness, we can facilitate the communication of the Gospel through these endeavors.
Why we do it:
To demonstrate compassion by giving valuable goods to those in need and through these activities share the Good News.
What’s in it for supporters?
Knowledge that you are:
Reflecting God’s grace through acts of kindness.
Contributing to the welfare of our city’s disadvantaged.
Helping to eliminate waste destined for local landfills.

Electrician and Plumber Trades Training
March 2nd – July 29th, 2017
Career Life Ministry desires to reach the next generation with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ while training them for technical career opportunities through short-term OSHA and NCCER certificated training in the electrical and plumbing trades. Our mentors guide participants in an atmosphere of caring and genuine concern for the student’s spiritual future as well as their careers. A low student to staff ratio allows for deeper personal relationships that are key in life and career transformation.

Jail To Jobs started as a non profit organization 10 years ago. In the beginning, Jail to Jobs offered bible studies in juvenile detention facilities. We saw great success, but despite their desire to change, after their release our youth were being locked right back up again.
It was then that we realized the need for social innovation in our program. We needed a better way to support our youth when they were released from jail.
The strategy we found to work is employment-based mentoring. We work alongside our youth, in our job training programs, teaching and empowering them into success while they are earning a wage.
In Jail to Jobs, our youth gain the experience and skills needed to get and keep a quality job – something many of them did not think was possible because of their past.
